Chocolate Covered Football Strawberries
- Dark Chocolate discs
- White Chocolate package
- 1 lb of strawberries
- Vegetable Oil
Wash strawberries in cold water.
Put wax paper on a tray that you will use to place the strawberries on to cool. Heat hot water in a sauce pan and then place a heat-safe bowl on top. (Alternatively you can use a real double broiler or the microwave, but this was all I had).
Add a little bit of vegetable oil to thin out the chocolate. Be careful to keep stirring and make sure the heat isn’t too hot or else the chocolate will burn. I had to switch out the chocolate about 3 times to make all of these strawberries.
Grab the strawberries by the stem and dip them in the chocolate. Place on wax paper to cool.
Chop up white chocolate into smaller pieces and put in a plastic squeeze bottle. Add just a little bit of vegetable oil.Place in microwave for 25 seconds to melt the chocolate and then draw on laces!
